I'm really proud to announce that Equipexpress Ltd. is now an official Autoboss distributor, appointed by sole British importer, Autoboss UK. I'm very keen on the Autoboss V30 PRO, which is quite similar in coverage to the Launch Master but benefits greatly from an amazingly bright colour screen, very fast operation and the ability to print graphs as well as text. It also has a facility for comparing two vehicles and highlighting differences between the two, which could help point you towards faults.
New this week on the Autoboss is the V4.90 Ford programme, which is particularly strong on Ford models all the way to 2010. The importance of this lies not just in the popularity of Ford in the UK but in the fact that many other machines are surprisingly weak in this area. There have also been some great Peugeot, Citroen and Fiat updates, appearing in the last few days.
The huge financial and business muscle provided by American owners SPX Corporation, is really starting to show now and I have good reason to believe that this is just the beginning. After all, if a company already owns, say, an Italian scanner-manufacturing firm (and they do) it's not too hard to come up with a killer Fiat/Alfa programme for the V30 PRO. The same applies to US makes, like Chrysler.
And, of course, at £1995 + VAT, the V30 PRO is considerably cheaper than any serious opposition.
All the same, I've still got a soft spot for the Launch machine, particularly the older X-431 with its modular construction and am happy to consider taking these in part exchange for new Autoboss units. This offer includes X-431s that are non-functional and/or out of contract. I'll even consider "grey import" units, which, as you probably know, are practically (but not entirely) impossible to update. Frequent updates are a strong point with both Launch and Autoboss scanners, so lack of them constitutes a real drawback.
If you're interested, just e-mail me on firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07854-021502 and I'll be happy to expand on this.
